Proprioceptive Processing

Proprioceptive sense refers to the sensory input and feedback that tells us about movement and body position. Symptoms:

  • Hypersensitive – or also called Over Responsive – falls frequently; constantly bumping into things; doesn’t seems to notice things in the way when walking; uncoordinated walking.
  • Hyposensitive – or also called Under Responsive – loves wrestling/rough-housing play; loves jumping; loves hammering; seems to play too rough with other children
